• Body
• The ideal old type Siamese is a medium sized cat of a robust, but elegant type with a rounded stature, well muscled and with excellent proportions.
  The body is medium to large, of a solid stature, with a well developed, strong musculature. Solid appearance with a good structure from the breastbone to the rump. The profile of the back has a very gentle curve from the ribcage back to the rump. The nape of the neck is medium to short in length, muscular and powerful. Muscular legs that are in excellent proportion to the body. The paws are slightly rounded. The tail is of medium length, but in good proportion to the body, somewhat broader at the base, tapering to a point.
• Head
• A nicely rounded head, that must appear neither flattened nor concave from any side. Forehead, cheeks and profile all have strong contours. The profile shows a gentle, convex curve and on the eye the eyelid takes the form of a full round curve. The nose has a slight dip that is preferable at the level of the eyes, not underneath the eyelids. A stop is not permitted. The muzzle is slightly rounded, clear and well proportioned, excellently developed so that it enhances the curves of the head. Chin and nose leather form a straight line.
• Ears
• The ears are of medium size and broad at the base. The placing of the ears is more to the side than on top of the head. Very slight ear bushes are permitted.
• Eyes
• Eyes almond shaped of medium size and set wide apart. On the eye the eyelid takes the form of a full, round curve. The eyes in a pure, clear color, a luminous deep blue.
• Coat
• The texture of the coat is almost close lying, but not flat. The color is regular, slight shading on the flanks is allowed, a good contrast between the colors on the points and the body. The markings (mask, ears, legs, fett and tail) should be as uniform in color as possible. The mask joins the ears in color, traces and covers the entire face including the whisker pads. It should not extend over the back of the head. Only pointed colors.
• Notes
  • The following applies to all colors in the old type Siamese
    • Slight shading on the body in the color which tones with the points color is allowed
    • A darker body color is permitted in older cats.
    • Disqualification for any white markings or any eye color other than blue.
    • A receding or too undershot a chin, a belly fleck or ghost markings are faults.
