Powerful body, well grown, although relatively small
and short, with a short and muscular cropper. Hind legs somewhat longer
than forelegs.
The short tail consists of between two and five vertebrae. The last vertebra
appears flattened. The tail is blunt and fully covered with hairs, with
a marked curl. There is also a tailless variety.
Head
The head is a short wedge shape with noticeable
rounded cheeks and a clear pinch. Flat forehead, nose of medium length without
a stop.
Ears
The ears are large, open at base, well furnished
with hair and tufted.
Eyes
The eyes are round, set slightly to the side. Eye
color to confirm to the coat color.
Coat
The coat is very dense, with a thick undercoat.
Outer hairs firm and shiny. The coat is short.
There is a semi-longhaired variety. In these cats the coat is of a medium
length with a clear ruff.
